Pay $0 Delivery Fees for Up to a Year With DoorDash, Thanks to These RBC Credit Cards

Canadians love their burrito bowls, butter chicken, and poutine. According to DoorDash data from 2020, these tasty treats appear among the top 10 foods ordered on the app in seven Canadian provinces, followed by other popular dishes, including chicken lettuce wraps, miso soup, and several types of sushi.

If you’re craving your favourite cuisine — perhaps Mexican, Indian, or Canadian — a food ordering and delivery platform can fast track your meal straight to your doorstep. And, if you order often, a membership might save you some dough in the process.

DashPass is a subscription service that reduces the cost of delivery and service fees on most DoorDash orders and provides exclusive promotions. For a limited time, eligible RBC credit cardholders can get a complimentary membership for up to a year at no additional cost.

How do you get the benefit?

Depending on your eligible RBC credit card, you may qualify for a three- or 12-month complimentary DashPass subscription. Regularly, the service costs $9.99 a month. Therefore, eligible RBC cardholders can save roughly $30 (three months) or $120 (12 months) in membership fees.

To get the benefit, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Download the DoorDash app.
  2. Add your eligible RBC credit card to your account.
  3. Activate your complimentary subscription before July 5, 2023.
  4. Select an eligible restaurant (look for the DashPass logo).
  5. Pay for your eligible order of $12 or more (before taxes and fees) with your RBC credit card.

Your DashPass savings will appear at the checkout.

Note: Paying with your RBC credit card through third-party wallets, like Apple Pay or Google Pay, won’t generate savings. These payment methods are not eligible for the benefit.

Read the full terms of the promotional offer to understand any conditions that apply.

What do you get with a DashPass subscription?

Benefits of a DashPass subscription include:

  • Pay $0 delivery fees on eligible orders of $12 or more (after taxes and fees) and reduced service fees.
  • Get exclusive DoorDash promotions, such as free food or extra discounts.
  • Earn 5% back in DashPass credit on eligible pickup orders, up to a maximum credit of $100 per order.

The subscription is charged monthly and can be cancelled at any time.
