Online shoppers in Canada can now opt for a new credit card. Amazon.ca has just launched the Amazon Rewards MasterCard in liaison with TD Bank’s subsidiary, MBNA.

This card comes with a sweet introductory offer- 5% cash back on eligible purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market stores, grocery stores and restaurants in Canada, for the first six months or until a spend of $3,000.

The Amazon.ca card also offers 2.5% cashback after the welcome period, to all eligible prime members on eligible purchases at Amazon.ca, Whole Foods Market stores, and foreign currency transactions. While non-prime members can get 1.5% cash back on the same.

Amazon says the rewards card comes with no annual fee and can be put to use immediately, once approved. It also rewards 1% cashback on foreign currency transactions.

Points will be added on every transaction, and they do not expire as long as the card account is open. Once the rewards reach 2000 points, a $20 gift card will be automatically added to the cardholder’s account.

Amazon’s Rewards Card also features paperless billing, online card management, and a 90-day purchase assurance coverage.

Before signing up for any new card, always shop around online for the best reward credit cards and interest rates.
