Intact Insurance is enhancing its COVID-19 customer relief measures.
The insurer says all of its auto insurance customers who are driving less will receive a 15% premium reduction in April, May, and June. To get the discount, Intact customers need to complete an online form or contact their broker.
If you are not driving at all because of the coronavirus pandemic and have stored your vehicle, you are eligible for a 75% premium reduction. Drivers must contact the insurer or their broker directly to make this change as well.
Intact is also offering its customers flexible payment options including deferrals and waiving non-sufficient fund fees for missed payments up until June 30.
“Dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic is our number one priority. We are working around the clock to remain as responsive as possible. Our focus is on the well-being of our employees and to be there for you – our customers and brokers – when you need us,” said Intact’s CEO Charles Brindamour in a statement. “We are continuously reviewing the impact of the pandemic and we will take a problem-solving approach as we work through new situations and deal with the questions that may come our way.”
